6. Not Getting an Inspection
 

Before you sit down with the seller and put a serious offer in writing you should inspect the property. When considering a real estate purchase it is crucial to obtain accurate and unbiased information about the property.

Most people have little idea of what to look at to get a true picture of the exact condition of the property. It is very common for a house to be painted or updated before being placed on the market for sell. The problem is that defects may be covered up while renovations are being made.

Not getting an inspection can hurt. Only purchased the property after getting an inspection else you may need to paid for it after the fact.
